VadaTech World Headquarters Earns LEED Certification
The new Vadatech World Corporate Headquarters, designed by PGAL, has earned LEED Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The new 2-story 71,519 square foot Research, Development and Manufacturing Facility is located within an Industrial Park and in close proximity to high density residential, local businesses, and amenities. During design, it was paramount to the client to ensure energy efficiency within the building and encourage sustainable practices for their employees, both in and out of the workplace.
The exterior of the building has a highly reflective roof (99 SRI) and a light colored tilt-up construction building. This helps the building to be more energy efficient lowering the heat gain on the mass of the building structure. The energy efficiency of the building is further enhanced by exceeding the energy models with high efficiency HVAC system, the use of daylighting and lighting controls. These measures will reduce the overall power consumption of the building and aid in lowering the company's carbon footprint.
The interior open floor plan allows light to penetrate well into the interior of the building providing views to a majority of the building occupants. Most of the interior finishes selected are manufactured with a percentage of recycled and/or sustainable materials. Employees can utilize the facility's kitchen/break areas, quiet room, exercise room and locker/shower facilities, all encouraging a healthy work/life balance.
