New $42 M Federal Courthouse to Open in Ft. Pierce

Move-in is underway at South Florida's newest judicial landmark: the 5-story, 123,400 SF U.S. Federal Courthouse in Ft. Pierce. Signature elements include a 110-ft stretch of 4-story window wall that frames the building's 4-story atrium lobby, monumental-style ramp and entrance steps, a 135'-long covered porch, two 10' by 20' Roberto Juarez murals and an inviting public garden. Finishes include Terrazzo flooring, beech wood veneer siding and acoustically-enhanced cherry wood veneer. PGAL was architect-of-record and court design specialist. The courthouse will open to the public in early December.
