The Village at Nevada State College
Nevada State College’s first on-campus student housing development establishes a vibrant residential hub that enhances student life and academic success.
Designed in two phases, the four-story, apartment-style community houses 252 students in a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and four-bedroom units, each with private baths. A dedicated staff apartment is also integrated within the complex.
Fostering a balance of connection and privacy, the residences feature open lounges for social engagement and enclosed study areas for focused learning. Additional amenities include a mailroom, computer lab, laundry facilities, and an activity room overlooking the landscaped plaza and pool.
At the heart of the campus, the project creates a dynamic residential village with thoughtfully designed courtyards that support both active and passive recreation. Materials and finishes reflect the surrounding desert landscape, incorporating earth-toned masonry, stucco, and metal panels for a contemporary aesthetic. Strategic building placement maximizes natural light and panoramic views, embracing the mountain and valley scenery through intentional glazing and transparency.
By seamlessly integrating functional design with the natural environment, The Village at Nevada State College delivers a sustainable, community-driven residential experience that reflects the institution’s commitment to student well-being.
