Texas A&M – The Bush School 1st and 2nd Floor Renovation

The Allen Building for Texas A&M’s Bush School of Government & Public Services underwent an extensive remodeling project on the first and second floors.

This project included the creation of dedicated student research space, two large study areas, new classrooms, conference rooms, additional office space, and refreshed Bush School branding. Murals of the school’s namesake, President George H.W. Bush, were added throughout the space to honor his life of public service.

The renovation provides students with much-needed meeting and study spaces, including a new student workroom, faculty and student breakrooms, and a mailroom dedicated to student use. New conference rooms were designed to support meetings, study groups, and collaborative projects. Additionally, the remodel created dedicated space for all Bush School Centers and Institutes.

To enhance the look and functionality of the main corridors on Levels 1 and 2 of the faculty and PhD study areas, several updates were implemented. Doors and frame systems were modernized, and the core’s center was transformed to welcome natural light, now serving as a vibrant collaborative space. Acoustical baffles were incorporated both as a design element and to mitigate noise. The refreshed color palette reflects the branding of the Bush School, evoking a sense of renewal, stability, and comfort, while infusing a touch of modernity and seamlessly integrated technology.

Features include:

  1. Renovation to floors 1 and 2

  2. Dedicated student research space

  3. Refreshed color palette to reflect the School’s vibrant branding
