Aircraft Rescue + Firefighting Facilities (ARFF) + Fumigation Facility Demolition + Re-Build at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW)

This critical new project at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport (DFW) involves the consolidation of the existing four Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) stations into two newly constructed, consolidated ARFF stations, along with the addition of a new Fumigation Facility.

The East ARFF Station will combine the functionality of existing Fire Stations 1 and 3, encompassing approximately 48,000 gross square feet. Similarly, the West ARFF Station will integrate the functionality of existing Fire Stations 2 and 4, also covering approximately 48,000 gross square feet. This station will include a new structural vehicular bridge across West Airfield Drive, providing direct ARFF equipment access to the airfield, and will incorporate the relocation of an existing detention pond.

The project also includes the construction of a new Fumigation Facility to replace the outdated existing structure. The new facility will span approximately 2,600 gross square feet, offering enhanced capabilities to meet current needs.

Additionally, PGAL will manage the demolition of several existing facilities. These include Fire Stations No. 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the existing Fumigation Facility located on West Airfield Drive. This comprehensive approach ensures a seamless transition to the upgraded infrastructure while addressing the operational requirements of the airport.

Features include:

  1. Two ARFF stations, totaling approximately 96,000 square feet

  2. 2,600-square-foot Fumigation Facility

  3. Demolition of the existing 4 fire stations once complete to ensure non-stop operations
