DFW Department of Public Safety Headquarters Wins DBIA National Award of Merit

The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) recently announced its winners in the national 2020 Design-Build Project/Team Awards competition, and the PGAL-designed DFW International Airport Department of Public Safety Headquarters was named National Award - Merit winner in the Aviation category.

Completed in 2019 with design-build partners JE Dunn, the $50 million, 140,000-square-foot facility houses the administrative and operational offices for the airport’s police, fire, and special services staff, as well as a detention center.

The project will now compete for a National Award of Excellence and Project of the Year to be announced at DBIA’s Design-Build Conference and Expo Awards Ceremony, October 29th.
